Saudi Amputates Nigerian’s Hand For Theft
Saudi authorities on Wednesday chopped off the hand of a Nigerian man
convicted of theft, in compliance with the Islamic sharia law strictly
applied in the kingdom, the interior ministry said.
Mohammed Ahmed Ibrahim was convicted of theft and sentenced to having “his right hand amputated” the ministry said in a statement carried by SPA state news agency.
The punishment was executed in Mecca where the theft took place, it said.
The AFP news agency says the kingdom applies the Islamic sharia law, including executions by the sword for people convicted of molestation, murder, apostasy, armed robbery and drug trafficking.

Mikel Obi Charged With Misconduct,Mark Clattenburg Cleared Of Racism Charges
Clattenburg cleared as FA charge Mikel 22 Nov 2012
The club did not wish to proceed in relation to the other allegation. The club provided witness statements from two players, Ramires Santos do Nascimento (“Ramires”) and John Obi Mikel.
The details of the allegation were that following one or the other of the red cards issued during the second half of the game, Ramires heard Mark Clattenburg say to John Obi Mikel, “shut up you monkey”. John Obi Mikel did not hear the alleged comment.
On 1 Nov 2012, The FA requested that Chelsea disclose full details of their internal investigation.
On 5 Nov 2012, Chelsea FC provided The FA with witness statements from other Chelsea FC players and officials.
On 5 Nov 2012, The FA interviewed Ramires and John Obi Mikel, using the TV match footage obtained by The FA.
Between 7 and 8 Nov 2012, The FA interviewed all four match officials.
On 9 and 14 Nov 2012, further to FA requests, Chelsea FC provided unbroadcast video footage of the game from static cameras.
On 15 Nov 2012, The FA reinterviewed Ramires to show him the previously unseen video footage provided by the club. At this stage, for the first time, the exact point at which the comment was alleged to have been made was established.
In light of this new information, between 15 and 19 Nov 2012, The FA interviewed the players who were in the vicinity of the alleged incident, and reinterviewed John Obi Mikel and the match officials.
Chelsea FC was offered the opportunity to provide any further information or evidence that they believed could be relevant to the allegation.
The FA then sought advice on the evidence gathered from independent Queen’s Counsel.
The essential facts found:
The evidence for the allegation came from one witness, Ramires. Ramires, whose first language is not English, explained that his instinctive reaction was to seek confirmation from John Obi Mikel as to what the referee had said.
John Obi Mikel, who was being spoken to by the referee, was much closer to the referee than Ramires and did not hear what it is suggested was said to him.
Three other witnesses, i.e. the other Match Officials, to whom everything said by referee was relayed via their communication equipment, are adamant the alleged words were not uttered.
There is nothing in the video footage to support the allegation.
For completeness, but of lesser weight, two other players, whose first language is English and were in the vicinity, did not hear anything untoward.
The decision:
Having considered all of the available evidence it was the opinion of David Waters QC, independent counsel, that the evidence of Ramires was not supported by any other evidence.
Moreover it was contradicted by other witnesses and does not cross the evidential threshold required to bring a charge against Mark Clattenburg.
Having considered Counsel’s opinion, and in view of all the circumstances of the case, The FA does not believe that there is a case for Mr Clattenburg to answer.
Equally The FA is satisfied that the allegation against Mark Clattenburg by Ramires was made in good faith. It is entirely possible for a witness to be genuinely mistaken and convincing in his belief.
The FA receives and investigates numerous allegations of misconduct over the course of a season. All allegations are properly investigated. It is not uncommon for investigations to lead to no disciplinary charge being brought.
The FA encourages all players who believe they have been either subject, or witness to, discriminatory abuse to report the matter immediately to the match officials on the day.
Furthermore, all Participants are advised to report any such alleged misconduct to The FA. In this case, the player and club were correct in reporting the matter to The FA and it was appropriate and proper for such an allegation to be thoroughly investigated.

Happy Birthday To Prof Chinua Achebe
Chinua Achebe (born 16 November 1930 as Albert Chinụalụmọgụ Achebe) (play write) is a Nigerian[2] novelist, poet, professor, and critic. He is best known for his first novel and magnum opus,Things Fall Apart (1958), which is the most widely read book in modern African literature.
529 ABU students use one toilet daily – Report
The average ratio of toilet to users in
most public universities is 1:20, but Nigeria’s premier Northern
University, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, breaks the record with
an all time high of an average of 529 students using one toilet.
Graphic details of how the university, now celebrating 50 years of existence, has fallen from grace to grass is contained in a report which took a comprehensive inventory of facilities and assessment of the general condition of 61 public universities.
The Needs Assessment report put together by an 11-man committee headed by former Executive Secretary of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) with former President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) as member, says the state of facilities and resources at ABU need “urgent attention.”
These
record holding toilets are located at the Asma’u Mustapha Hostel,
initially meant to accommodate 312 students but now has 3,178 students
residing in it. With only six toilets at the disposal of these students,
an average of 529 students use one toilet daily.
“The state of toilets in the university is of grave concern. The toilets are grossly inadequate. On the average, over 40 students share a toilet,” says the report.
But it isn’t only the toilets that need urgent attention, its learning resources were described as ‘obsolete and non-functional’ so much that, it’s two programmes- Architecture and Engineering, which earned it a revered reputation, now only have infrastructure and learning resources that are in a ‘parlous state’.
The university barely has interactive boards, public address systems, computers, magnetic boards, projectors, video-needful resources required to make teaching and learning easy.
As for the capacity of its 1,815 teaching staff, 42% have PhDs, 36% with Masters and 22% have first degrees.
This commendable quality of teaching staff is quite the opposite at a very young university within the same state, Kaduna State University, only eight years old. KASU is bottom heavy with Lecturers I to Graduate Assistants constituting 88% of the staff strength, only 1% are Professors, 5% Readers and 6% Senior Lecturers. Only 14% of full time staff are PhD staff, the rest are either Masters or 1st degree holders.
The university’s inability to attract high degree staff might not be unconnected to the stumpy release of its total allocation. Though N4 billion was allocated from 2009 to 2011, only 17% was released which is about N700 million.
The crisis of dilapidated hostels resurfaces at the Kano State University of Science and Technology Wudil. Established in 2001, the university inherited a large majority of its physical facilities from Teachers College, most of which are as old as 54years.
It’s only hostel “is improvised and very unfit for human habitation. It is ramshackle and massively overcrowded with looming risk to health and safety,” says the report.
KSUT has only one professor, no reader and 151 of its 165 full time lecturers are between the ranks of Graduate Assistant to Lecturer 1. Laboratory space is inadequate. 2 theatres constructed by TETFund in 2010 are the only excellent facilities.
Again, state government funding is nearly non-existent as only 6.5% of the N1.9bn allocated as capital grant from 2009 to 2011 was released.
Usmanu Danfodio University Sokoto has a total of 16 abandoned projects. Most of the equipment in the laboratories and machineries in the workshops are obsolete. The university has not commenced any form of automation in any of its libraries.
One irregularity noted by the report is that the Vice-chancellor’s office has the highest number of non-teaching staff- 390 out of 1,822.
In Kogi State university, every on-going project is being funded by TETFund and all abandoned projects in the university are those of the state government. 23 buildings are in a state of rapid deterioration and need urgent attention.
Generally, there is an average of four abandoned projects per university in Nigeria. Most of the abandoned projects are funded from capital allocations and are mainly students’ accommodation and lecture theatres.
The
report accused university managers of expending huge resources in
erecting university gates, wall fencing, and Vice Chancellor’s lodge,
purchase of exotic cars while their libraries are still under
construction, lecture rooms overcrowded and laboratories are bereft of
basic facilities.
It is perhaps for these gross inadequacies, it recommended that federal government stop establishing new universities but rather concentrate on improving and expanding facilities of existing ones.
Proliferation of universities, the report says, has not improved access or assured quality.
SHOCKER!!! HOW University of Lagos Girls Hijacked My Semen for sale
My name is Jimmy(not real name); a 200 level student of the University
of Lagos, department of ermmm, I don’t think that information is
necessary.
Well, I just want to share this particular experience with my fellow guys out there, some of us might have been victims of what I’m about to share but have kept it as a secret because of the fear of what people might say.
Few weeks ago before the start of the 2nd semester examination, I went to read all night at the Akintunde Ojo Memorial Library, having played and partied all through the semester, I needed to get myself ready for the upcoming examination by doing some couple of overnight reading. At about 2am that night while reading, I needed to ease myself, so I went to the back of the library to urinate. As I was urinating I noticed a pretty fair chic leaning on the wall about 7 metres from me. I got a bit uncomfortable with the way she was watching me take a leak, I took my eyes off her before I finished urinating.
As I was walking back to the library, I heard a tiny sweet voice say HI, it had to be her, I couldn’t help but turn back and respond to her greeting.
As I walked towards her, I couldn’t help but admire her Mila kunis kind of eyes, her Kim Kardashian hips and what a view. In short this girl was the definition of HOT!!!! Her P needed to be set without hesitation was what I said in my mind before getting to her.
On getting to where she was standing I asked if she called me, she said yes and I asked why, she said she just felt like. I asked her what she was doing out there alone and she said she was reading in the library and came out to get some fresh air and she was a bit bored.
I need not dull this P that was right in front of me so I started conversing with her for like an hour before she started getting so close to me at that moment I knew she wanted some cuddling or smooching maybe because of the cold temperature at that time which made it worse as we were few metres away from the Lagoon front; we smooched a little and as it was getting intense I told her we should go somewhere else because of the people that will see us where we were.
I took her to Hell Fire (a coded place in Faculty of Engineering), we got there and continued and before I knew it she unzipped my trousers and brought out my d*** and put in her mouth. Damn! This was my best night ever in the University of Lagos campus. She sucked it like a professional then suddenly a girl showed up from nowhere, at that point I lost control of myself because I didn’t know what was happening, the new girl brought out a cup from her bag and when I was about to cum they both made sure my cum poured into the cup and the new girl took out an envelope from her bag and gave me. Immediately they left, I was shocked by what just happened and couldn’t do or say anything.
About three minutes after they left; I started realizing what had happened, then the envelope in my hand I opened it and the sum of #100,000 was contained in it.
Series of thoughts ran through my mind, crazy ones that I can’t list here. I’m sure as you reading this, lot of things would have gone through your mind with the exchange that happened.

FOUR NIGERIAN TEENAGE GIRLS DEVELOP A URINE-POWERED GENERATOR
Four Nigerian teenage girls - Duro-Aina Adebola (14), Akindele Abiola (14), Faleke
Oluwatoyin (14) and Bello Eniola (15) have created something truly incredible, even if it's a little dangerous..:-).
The girls invented a urine powered generator which was showcased at this year's Maker Faire Africa held in Lagos a few days back. Continue to see how it works....
According to Maker Faire Africa, an annual event which showcases inventions, the system works like this:
Why is it a little dangerous? Maker Faire Africa ended their report by saying - Along the whole way there are one-way valves for security, but let’s be honest that this is something of an explosive device…
And I agree...but great one girls. All they need now is people who will collaborate with them to improve on it.

According to Maker Faire Africa, an annual event which showcases inventions, the system works like this:
- Urine is put into an electrolytic cell, which separates out the hydrogen.
- The hydrogen goes into a water filter for purification, which then gets pushed into the gas cylinder.
- The gas cylinder pushes hydrogen into a cylinder of liquid borax, which is used to remove the moisture from the hydrogen gas.
- This purified hydrogen gas is pushed into the generator.
- 1 Liter of urine gives you 6 hours of electricity.

GOVERNMENT SHOULD LEGALISED MARIJUANA-SEUN KUTI
The late Afrobeat legend’s son, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Seun has declared a
war against cigarette smokers and implored the Federal government to
ban it and legalise Marijuana. After commending his brother Femi Kuti’s
exciting performance alongside him on Stage at the concluded 2012
Felabration concert at the Afrika Shrine, Seun Kuti broached an argument
supporting smoking marijuana against smoking cigarettes.
Seun condemned the non-legalizing of Marijuana like cigarette, suggesting that the position of the law on the two products was illogical.
In his submission, the favored cigarette has lethal consequences, while the legally opposed marijuana was medicinal and good for human consumption. But, Seun said, the killing cigarette was favored because it was to the white man’s profit, stressing that marijuana would make black countries richer than the white if legalized. His argument is an absolute face off with cigarette consumption while beckoning marijuana to the spotlight.
“This song is about the good leaf; ewe rere. Me I nor dey say make Government legalize Igbo o. If Government like, them legalize am. If Government like, them nor legalize am. I’m smoking it mehn! Our politicians nor get sense. Because the white man talk say Igbo nor good, them follow dem talk say Igbo nor good. But now, in the United States of America, dem dey smoke Igbo legally.” Igbo doesn’t kill, but cigarette dey kill. Because cigar na white man’s business, as far as you write ‘Smokers are liable to die young’, it becomes legal,’’ Seun said it in one of his lyrics when he mounted the stage in the last Felabration.
Seun suggested that the west advised the black politicians against legalizing marijuana because they knew it would make the black countries rich.
“Why not also put Igbo in a box and write Igbo smokers are liable to go crazy young?”, he quipped.
Seun encouraged further in songs; “plant am make e grow… e good, e good, e goodu well well… plant am make e grow”.
“Marijuana is medical, and I feel Cigarette is selling legally because it is white man’s business. It is killing millions of people everyday.. Igbo is not killing anybody. Marijuana is not only for smoking. It’s used for a lot of things; you can make clothes, you can drink tea, it is good, it is medicinal, it helps your appetite, they give it to cancer patients… a lot of benefits”, he explained
